Who is Whining? The Wildcats will play in the South Regional semifinal on Thursday in Atlanta.

UK continues to roll – Photo by Martin Hackworth – BSN

For all the “Whining” coming out of UK’s camp, the Young Wildcats continue to win. I have stated all season that when March rolled around, no one would want to play these Wildcats. It’s just the way it is around Big Blue Nation. It is what we have become accustomed to. Calipari, more often than not, has his young players ready for the NCAA Tournament. Since “Cal” took over at UK, the Cats, when they make the NCAA Tournament, average 3 wins. That equates to 7 Sweet 16 trips in 9 years in the Calipari era. Unprecedented among any other school in the Nation.

Buffalo was coming off an impressive win over the Arizona Wildcats and riding high coming in against the team with the Nation’s most wins in the University of Kentucky Wildcats. UK jumped out early and never let the Bulls get closer than 4 points. Diallo playing probably his best game of the season dominated like everyone was thinking he could. His play along with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was all UK needed in a foul filled game. Diallo & Shai Gilgeous-Alexander combined for 49 points.

Kentucky made its national-record 57th NCAA Tournament, extending the NCAA record for most tournament appearances, and is 28-6 under Coach Cal in NCAA Tournament play. The Cats now move on to “CATLANTA” for the chance to go to the Final Four in San Antonio. If UK continues to play and improve like they have their last 9 games, No One is going to want to take the court against them. Arizona, Tennessee & Virginia all taking early exits has turned the South Region from the Bracket of Death into, “WHO WANTS IT MORE”. my best bet is UK better pack their warm weather clothes for the trip to San Antonio!!
