UK has lost 31 straight games to the Florida Gators. The Wildcats ended that streak in fine fashion with a 27-16 score. Kentucky trailed 10-7 to the Gators before taking control with a 14 point outburst in the 3rd quarter. Florida scored late in the 4th to make it 21-16. Kentucky was led by a balanced rushing attack led by Benny Snell who had 27 carries for 175 yards. Terry Wilson had 10 Carries for 105 yards and one score. Wilson also completed 11 of 16 passes for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns and one pick. UK would finish off the game with a sack of Florida QB F. Frank who fumbled. UK’s D. Robinson picked up the fumble and ran it in for a score. UK finally has drained the Swamp and ending 31 straight games.
