The Kentucky Wildcats (1-0) opened their 2017 home stand by hosting the Eastern Kentucky University Colonels (0-1). Despite the two campuses being only 30 minutes away, this is only the fifth time the two teams have faced off. Kentucky led the series 4-0 coming into today after a thrilling overtime come from behind win two years ago here in Lexington. This was the inaugural game at the newly named Kroger Field. Forward from Little Washington, North Carolina will not hire an agent
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men basketball freshman forward Bam Adebayo announced Wednesday that he plans to submit his name for the 2017 NBA Draft but will not hire an agent. So long as Adebayo does not hire an agent, he will have until May 24 (10 days after the NBA Draft Combine) to make a final decision as to whether he wishes to remain in the draft or return to Kentucky. By Ricky Blair Nashville, TN – In the semi-final round of the SEC tournament, Kentucky got off to a rocky start as Alabama took an early 9-2 lead. The Wildcats had four turnovers and only one basket in the first four minutes of play. LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky men’s basketball team will be the No. 1 seed in the annual Southeastern Conference Tournament when action begins Wednesday in Nashville, Tennessee. Lexington, KY Rupp Arena – Senior Night at the University of Kentucky is a special night marking the end of the regular season home games for the Kentucky Wildcats. The University of Kentucky faced off against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Three seniors have played their final home game, Derrick Willis, Dominique Hawkins and two-year reserve player Michael Mulder. Hawkins and Willis have had outstanding careers with each player being part of 2 back to back Final Four teams, with 1 appearance in the in the 2014 NCAA Championship. The Kentucky Wildcats won their 5th game in a row Tuesday by beating the Missouri Tigers 72-62 in a close game in Columbia.
