SUPER “7” for Week Ending 10-23-16

Class 1A SUPER “7”

Nothing changes again this week at the top of Class 1A. Russellville and Paintsville remain undefeated and Nicholas, Raceland and Beechwood continue to roll as well. Pikeville finally cracks the top 7 with another shutout win.

Class 2A SUPER “7”

Mayfield, and Lexington Christian remain undefeated. Leslie, Owensboro and Danville are right behind them. Danville is still in the mix. Christian Academy of Louisville joins the Super 7 this week.

Class 3A SUPER “7”

Belfry and Corbin continue to be the favorites in this class with some movement behind them. Belfry has hit their playoff stride having 3 consecutive shutouts. Breathitt County has won 4 of 5 after losing their first 4. Estill continues their strong push as well.

Class 4A SUPER “7”

Much like the other Classes, there is not much movement at the top of this Class as Johnson Central and Franklin-Simpson remain undefeated and Shelby, Rockcastle, & Hopkinsville all hang around with 1 loss. Calloway drops to 7th and South Warren debuts at 6th.

Bowling Green held on to the top spot after posting their 5th shutout in 6 games. BG has outscored their opponents 324-7 in their past 6 games. That’s an average of 54 to 1.1 point differential per game. It’s going to be really tough to beat them if opponents cannot score.

Dupont Manual, Dropped a couple games to fall to #7. Their losses opened the door for Trinity to take over the top spot and Ryle to slip in to the #2 slot. The class remains wide open as all 7 teams looked poised to make some noise.
