(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) Entertainment by the Fur Circus and a free replica Legends jersey for children age 12 and under are among the highlights for a four-game Lexington Legends homestand that opens Thursday night. The homestand also includes two Ford Fireworks shows.
“It’s another short but fun-packed home stand,” said Legends President/CEO Andy Shea. “The Fur Circus has been a real favorite with our fans. We’re glad to have them again at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. And the kids will love the replica jerseys.”
The Legends, class A affiliate of the American League champion Kansas City Royals, will play the Greenville Drive, the class A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox and the South Atlantic League Southern Division leader.
Greenville has on its roster one of the top Red Sox prospects, Yoan Moncada, a native of Cuba who signed with Boston for $31.5 million earlier this year. Moncada suffered a hamstring injury in a game Saturday and has not played since then, but had not been placed on the disabled list as of Wednesday morning.
The schedule for the homestand:
