Ohio News – Woman arrested for attempting to convey drugs into the London Correctional Institution

Investigators from the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC), specifically the London Correctional Institution (LoCI), received information that Michelle Green of Newark, OH was planning on conveying illegal narcotics into an inmate during a scheduled visit on September 2, 2015.

Green arrived for her scheduled visit and investigators from DRC and the Ohio State Highway Patrol conducted surveillance of the visit. During the visit, investigators observed Green concealing a large blue like balloon object inside of a bundle of napkins in her left hand. Green was then taken into custody before she could pass the contraband to the inmate she was visiting. The blue balloon like object was opened and found to contain 116 suboxone strips and a gold necklace. Green was then arrested and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail where she was booked in on the charge of illegal conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility. The inmate was not immediately charged and will face possible criminal charges once the case is presented to the Madison County Grand Jury.
