Kentucky News – Emergency road aid funds awarded to City of Jackson

For slide repair on Lincoln Avenue

jackson_kyFRANKFORT, Ky. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet today announced that the City of Jackson will receive $32,800 in Municipal Road Aid emergency funds.

The money will be used for slide repairs on Lincoln Avenue (CS 1022), making it safer for cars, school buses and other vehicles that rely upon this highway.

“These emergency funds are being used to repair roadways and to improve safety and mobility in the City of Jackson,” said Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock.  “This project is one example of the cabinet’s commitment to providing a solid infrastructure in Jackson and all across the commonwealth.”

The Jackson City Council is responsible for administering the work.
