Meet the team and watch an open scrimmage prior to 2015 season
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini football fans will have an opportunity to meet and get autographs from the 2015 student-athletes and head coach Tim Beckman on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 5:15-6:15 p.m. in the Great West Hall at Memorial Stadium. Admission for the event is free and parking will be available in the northwest lot of State Farm Center free of charge.
Fans attending Fan Appreciation Day will be able to enter on the west side of Memorial Stadium starting at 5 p.m. Team posters and markers will be available for players to sign, but fans can also bring their own markers and items to be autographed (limit of 2 per person).
Players will be seated by position groups in the Great West Hall. Out of respect for other fans waiting in line, players will not be able to accommodate photo requests from fans.
Following the autograph session, the team will host an open scrimmage in Memorial Stadium, slated to begin around 7:15 p.m. This will be the only chance to see the 2015 Fighting Illini in action on their home field before the regular season kicks off in September.
The Fighting Illini open the 2015 season by hosting Kent State at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4 in the first of six home games. Season tickets, mini-plans, and single-game tickets are on sale now.
