Champaign, Ill.–Fighting Illini freshman guard Jalen Coleman-Lands (Indianapolis, Ind./La Lumiere School) has been sidelined with a stress fracture in his lower left leg. He will miss Illinois’ on-campus practices in preparation for its upcoming international tour to Belgium, Netherlands and France as well as game competition during the trip, scheduled for Aug. 9-19.
“After experiencing pain in his left leg, Jalen has been diagnosed with a stress fracture,” head coach John Groce said. “His health is our number one priority, so we are holding him out of all on-court activities indefinitely. We will re-evaluate his status heading into fall preseason training.”
