College Sports – 2015 Preseason Coaches All-SEC Football Teams Announced

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama and LSU each placed a league-leading 10 representatives on the 2015 Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference Football Teams, the SEC announced Tuesday. This marked the 13th consecutive year of the SEC Coaches Preseason All-SEC Teams.

sec teams All 14 SEC schools were represented by at least two players on the Preseason All-SEC teams, including seven schools with six or more selections each. Ten SEC schools had at least one First-Team All-SEC selection, including a conference-best five from Alabama.

 

Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.

 

South Carolina’s Pharoh Cooper earned three spots on the All-SEC First Team, making the squad as a wide receiver, all-purpose athlete and a return specialist. LSU’s Leonard Fournette was a first-team running back and earned second-team All-SEC honors at all-purpose and return specialist.

 

The SEC begins its 2015 season on Thursday, September 3 with a pair of games. South Carolina faces North Carolina in Charlotte at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN, while Vanderbilt entertains Western Kentucky at 8 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
