“They have so many weapons and when you press like we do, they can make you pay,” said Head Coach Greg Todd.
Fort the fifth time in six games, junior guard Brianna McQueen scored in double-digits off the bench for the Eagles. She accumulated a game-high 21 points, on 8-of-15 shooting from the floor and 2-of-4 from three-point territory. Sophomore Eriel McKee scored 15 points and pulled down eight rebounds, marking the 21st straight game she has recorded double-digit points.
“In the fourth quarter we played more like we had been lately, and finished the quarter tied at 28. I was happy we kept applying pressure late,” said Todd.
The Eagles look to snap their four-game losing streak on the road as they travel to SIU Edwardsville for a Thursday night contest slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET.
