You can’t help but wonder if that is exactly what UK Hoops is thinking right now after they took care of Oklahoma Monday night in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. How often is it that you can play the first 2 rounds on your home court, then advance to the sweet 16 to play on your other home court?
Senior Night for any Kentucky sport is always an emotional time. The 2015-16 version of UK Hoops honored only 1 senior on Thursday night against the Missouri Tigers, and that senior, Janee Thompson, came through in a big way with a career high 24 points to lead the Wildcats to a 69-59 victory.
After an exhilarating come back victory against Tennessee at home on January 25th, UK Hoops have struggled to find the winning column since. Losing to unranked Vanderbilt, #22 Florida, and #2 South Carolina, the Wildcats needed something good to happen for them when they returned home to face a struggling LSU team.
