The Perry Central Commodores are 4-0 as they prepare for their first district matchup of the season next week against Letcher Central. They are averaging more than 44 points per game and a handful of Commodores are among the state’s best in terms of rushing, scoring, kicking, tackling, sacks and fumbles. But we’ve seen this movie before.

The Perry Central Commodores are undefeated after three games, but the Patriots of Knott Couny Central put up a fight on their home field.

Storms across Eastern Kentucky forced delays at several games Friday night. This game – scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff – did not get started until just after 9 p.m. The field at Bank of Hindman Stadium was a muddy mess, but the teams gutted this one out after lightning was no longer a threat.
