Kentucky Volleyball Announces 2018 Recruiting Class

Four Freshman and one JUCO Transfer will join UK

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky volleyball head coach Craig Skinner announced the completion of the 2018 recruiting class on Tuesday. Middle blocker Gabby Goddard (Lexington, Massachusetts), setter Cameron Schietzach (Orlando, Florida), outside hitter Alli Stumler (Floyds Knobs, Indiana) and libero Lauren Tharp (Louisville, Kentucky) will all join the Wildcats as freshmen next year. UK Volleyball – Five Wildcats Named All-SEC, Three Win Individual Honors

Dusek wins Libero of the Year, Lilley Freshman of the Year, Skinner Coach of the Year

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Five Kentucky volleyball players earned All-Southeastern Conference honors on Wednesday, headlined by Madison Lilley winning Freshman of the Year and senior Ashley Dusek garnering her third-consecutive SEC Libero of the Year award. Lilley and Dusek join seniors Kaz Brown and Emily Franklin and sophomore Leah Edmond on the All-SEC team. Freshman Avery Skinner appears on the All-Freshman team alongside Lilley. The Wildcats added Alexis Merrill, Yang Lee and sophomore transfer Diana Tkachenko

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s tennis has signed Yang Lee and Alexis Merrill to National Letters of Intent, and added sophomore transfer Diana Tkachenko, head coach Carlos Dradá announced Friday afternoon. UK Volleyball – Florida Wins in Battle of First SEC Matchup of Top-Six Opponents

Edmond continues to shine with 16 kills in the match
LEXINGTON, Ky. – In a matchup featuring the two highest-rated Southeastern Conference teams in league history, the No. 4 Florida Gators prevailed by a 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-22) margin over No. 6 Kentucky on Wednesday inside of Memorial Coliseum. The Big Blue Nation was electric as 5,329 fans – the largest in Memorial in the Craig Skinner era – came out to witness the showdown between the league’s top two teams. The loss snapped a 14-match winning streak for the Wildcats, which included taking down the Gators on their home floor a little more than two weeks ago. For the third time in as many tournaments, the Kentucky men’s golf team claimed the tournament crown. Senior Cooper Musselman led the way with his first collegiate victory as the Wildcats hung on by one stroke to edge out North Florida for the Crooked Stick Invitational title.
