The Redhound community has had this date circled since losing to the Rebels last year in the 3A state finals.  The difference in the two teams, Corbin had to fill the void left by a big senior class, while Boyle County brought the majority of their team back for the 2018 season.  The goal for these two programs isn’t to make the playoffs, or win a regional title . . . . Both prestigious programs have hopes of winning a state title. Continue reading High School Football Playoffs – CORBIN and BOYLE PART II

Williamsburg, riding a 9-2 record was looking to continue their magical season as they made the trip to Pikeville, Ky. The trip was a long one due to their bus breaking down with flat tire, this would be an indicator of how things would go for the yellow jackets. Playoff football isn’t easy. It doesn’t matter if you are a one seed or if you barely made the playoffs.  The fact is, everyone is 0-0 to start the post season and it is win or go home!  Survive and advance, or Lose and Watch.  It would be a lesson that many would learn the hard way on Friday night.
