Wolfe County Senior guard Deven Stone set a new Wolfe County High School scoring record in Beattyville on Tuesday night, pouring in 57 points in the Wolves 100-20 victory over Lee County. Stone was 8 for 16 (50%) from three-land, 13 for 15 (86%) inside the arc, and 7 of 8 (88%) from the line. Stone’s 57 broke the prior record of 54 which was jointly held by Gene Neff and Sawyer Denniston. Wolfe is now 1-1 on the season and will next be in action on Saturday night at they travel to Letcher County Central. Congratulations Deven!!!!

Steve Miller took in all the action for BSN. The Kentucky Wildcats were represented by this years incoming freshman. Jarred Vanderbilt, Quade Greene, PJ Washington and Nicholas Richards will all make their home in Lexington next season. UK will once again be a force to be reckoned with. Hazel Green Kentucky resident and Wolfe County Softball Coach BennyCampbell has been selected as a member of the Officiating Crew for the KHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament which was played in Rupp Arena on March 15-19. Campbell joined 15 other officials from across the state as they called the 100th edition of the Sweet 16 which is billed as the Greatest Show in Hoops.
